Community Support Services (NIMCOSS) and Nimba Research and
Consulting Company (NIRC) are subsidiaries of Imoyase
Community Support Services (ICSS). ICSS is located in Los
Angeles, California (United States) and NIMCOSS and NIRC are
located in Accra, Ghana on the campus of The University of
Ghana – Lagon in Akuafo Hall.
Services In
keeping with the mission of Imoyase Community Support
Services, NIMCOSS and NIRC are committed to community
development, social justice, health promotion and social
science research. We do this by fostering social
responsibility via the creation and support of linkages to
community development through evaluation
research.
NIMCOSS is committed to contributing to the
economic empowerment of urban poor, especially women and
youth; and to enhance their participation in local governance.
It does this through training, advocacy networking, and
action-oriented research.
NIRC performs many of the
same services as NIMCOSS. However, the major difference
between both is NIRC is the for-profit entity and NIMCOSS is
the non-profit entity. Both focus on social development
consulting and theoretical and applied research into policy
and social science.
ICSS and The Imoyase Group, Inc.,
support NIMCOSS and NIRC by providing access to technical
assistance, financial support, and direct involvement in all
contracts and projects.
